CAFE Publication Award
for Single or Dual-authored Books or Monographs
The Canadian Association of Foundations of Education (CAFE) is seeking submissions of single authored or dual authored books or monographs for the CAFE 2020 Publications Award. The purpose of this year’s award is to recognize books or monographs that have made a major contribution to knowledge in the disciplines that fall under the rubric of the foundations of education. These disciplines generally include history, philosophy, and sociology of education, but also include other disciplines in the humanities and social sciences that contribute to educational theory. This award will be made at the CAFE Annual Meeting during the CSSE Conference
Criteria
The book must be published between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2019, and fall within the concerns of the foundations of education. The cover letter should make a case as to why this book makes a major contribution to the foundations of education.
Eligibility
Author(s) shall be member(s) in good standing of CSSE and CAFE at the time of submission and award.
Submission Requirements
Interested authors should submit four (4) hard copies of the book or monograph along with a cover letter to the Chair of the CAFE Publications Awards Committee:
